Joanna is an abstact painter based in Poland.
She creates expressive compositions that radiate a unique atmosphere. With the expressive gestures she changes paints into a medium capable of conveying emotions and associations. Using a limited number of means of expression, the artist creates abstract spaces composed of light and shadow and tensions between various textures of paint. Her areas of interest are light, space, color and composition.
She paints such works that will correspond well with the interiors.
You can find her works in galleries in Europe. Her works are appreciated by collectors from all over the world.

HOW THE PROCESS LOOKS LIKE ?
First is the concept in my mind. I think about the mood I want to create. I mix paints and I start to play. My creative process consist of two elements : experiment and plan. My role is to decide when to stop experimenting and start shaping or when to stop planning and let the experiment rule. It is like a dance. I make a move and then paints response. When I catch this inspiring balance between the tension and delicacy the work is done
WHAT IS YOUR WORK ABOUT ?
If I want to put it in few words : my works are about energy. I am trying to capture the energy that flows within the people, places, nature. For example the Le Grand Bleu series is about the energy of ocean but also it is the same time on some level it is also a story about each of us. I am inspired by universal laws of nature and principles of physics.

WHAT IS YOUR GOAL AS AN ARTIST ?
I believe that images, compositions, colours, textures imitates some specific energy, mood, emotions that expanding on space and people. Through my art I let in some inspiration, calm, freedom, joy, wildness to your homes.
